As a banker I spent 23 years as a regulated person in each of Hong Kong, Australia, UK and the US – including my last 8 years a Citi classified as a Material Risk Taker. I am very comfortable and well practiced in working with clients confidentially on their largest most strategic transactions, including share price sensitive projects for listed companies.
As a coach I spent most of my banking career delivering impactful coaching to high performing bankers across cultures and all levels of seniority. I have completed training as a business coach with Meyler Campbell and also with The Portfolio Collective on their Start-up Mentor Programme.
An investment in a programme of advisory or coaching work with me will be thoughtfully tailored and delivered to ensure a minimum 10-100x return on your investment in terms of impact and results. I intentionally focus on helping clients with their very biggest challenges, this is some of the most difficult work to partner with clients on but also the most fulfilling given the game-changing business and life results that are possible through a strong and trusted partnership.

No two humans, clients or assignments are the same – so every project I take on is delivered in a unique and bespoke way specifically tailored to my client(s) on a human and business level. While work with clients is typically anchored around a specific business challenge I am always conscious that life is about much more than what happens in the office and work context and thus I stand ready to help clients on any life challenge they are facing.
Every advisory project is unique, thus advisory engagements are always undertaken with bespoke fee arrangements. For individual coaching typical 6-month corporate packages start at £10,000, for self-funded clients Alex works at discretionary discounted rates on a case by case basis.
I am acutely focused on delivering the highest quality advice and impact for clients so I deliberately limit myself to working with no more than 3-4 advisory clients simultaneously, this allows me to retain the mental bandwidth and calendar availability to be able to help my retained clients 24/7 with short lead-times.
Similarly with individual coaching I am acutely focused on results and impact so typically limit myself to a maximum number of 4-5 live coaching engagements at any one time.
The cadence, frequency and duration of my work with clients is designed on a bespoke basis to fit client requirements and align with the desired impact. Some clients may need to speak daily during a time of crisis, while others may better align with weekly, fortnight or monthly meetings. Assignments typically require at least 6 to 8 sessions together of 1 to 2 hours each in order to make tangible and clear results towards the objective of our work together.
For advisory work I will typically work to quickly become fluent in the business and dive deeply into all available data and background on the business and through detailed briefing discussions with my client and their senior team. For coaching work I typically start by discussing a clients psychometric profile and any 360 feedback from colleagues and close peers while also seeking a detailed understanding of the clients personal and professional background and current realities. For all clients I will seek to co-create a clear roadmap and timeline towards their goals while focusing on accountability and tangible results as an outcome from our work together.
The 30 minute discovery call is designed to assess two-way fit and chemistry between myself and a client. For the important work and challenges we will focus on the alignment of learning and communication styles together with professional alignment is critical to provide the best chance of a working relationship that quickly delivers results. The no-commitment discovery call is designed to assess working together formally.
Most discovery calls will be done on video. With regard to formal work together I take a hybrid approach, subject to logistics and location I will always aim to meet a client in-person for some of our meetings during our work together. I am UK based and travel to London often while also traveling to other major global business hubs throughout a typical year.
All work will be subject to a mutual non-disclosure and confidentiality agreement to be executed after a discovery call and before we begin working together formally. As a former banker I am extremely well versed on the importance of confidentiality including careful handling of any potentially price-sensitive information on private and public companies.
